Laboratory

Our facility has established its laboratory with equipment complying with all quality requirements and legal conditions. In our laboratory, the following analyzes can be performed with almost 100% accuracy. Necessary external and in-house training is provided to the relevant personnel to ensure their effectiveness. The reliability and accuracy of the analyzes are verified by accredited institutions.

Analyzes

  • Aflatoxin: Aflatoxin analysis is performed with HPLC method using the latest model HPLC device (AOAC, Vol: 88, 2005). Relevant laboratory personnel receive all necessary in-house and external training, so their experience increase and their competence level is at optimum level. Raw material acceptance analysis and final product aflatoxin analysis are performed and the results are recorded. If it is determined that the limit values are exceeded in the aflatoxin analyzes performed during the acceptance phase of the shelled hazelnuts and hazelnuts kernels, the raw material is rejected and corrective actions are initiated regarding the supplier.
  • Moisture (Humidity): Moisture analysis, which is a quality parameter for raw materials and end products, is performed with the fast method. With the AND MX-50 brand/model device, results can be obtained in 8 minutes. In accordance with the method of TS EN ISO 665 2020, the device is verified, the necessary training is provided for the personnel, and the competence of the relevant personnel is increased. In addition, verifications are made within the scope of pre-determined plans with accredited companies through outsourcing.
  • Acid Analysis: Acidity, which is a quality parameter for raw materials and end products, is performed manually with a titrimetric method using the latest model devices. With the analysis method of TS EN ISO 660, high accuracy results can be obtained in a very short time. Relevant personnel are provided with the necessary in-house and external training opportunities and their competencies are increased. Acid analyzes are performed and recorded in parallel with the analysis plan. Verifications are performed periodically by accredited laboratories and analysis accuracy is guaranteed.
  • Peroxide: Peroxide value, which is a quality parameter for raw materials and end products, is performed manually with a titrimetric method using the latest model devices. With the analysis method of TS EN ISO 3960, high accuracy results can be obtained in a very short time. Relevant personnel are provided with the necessary in-house and external training opportunities and their competencies are increased. Peroxide analyzes are performed and recorded in parallel with the analysis plan. Verifications are performed periodically by accredited laboratories and analysis accuracy is guaranteed.
  • Microbiology analyzes: Total viable count, Mold-yeast, Coliform, E.coli, Staph. aureus, Salmonella spp analyzes are performed as microbial analysis in our laboratory. State-of-the-art equipment (sterile sowing cabinet, homogenizer, autoclave, incubators, etc.) that can perform these analyzes is available in our laboratory. The necessary in-house and external training opportunities are provided to the relevant personnel and their competencies are increased. For microbiology analysis, analyzes are performed and recorded in parallel with the microbiology analysis plan with the internationally accepted CompactDry SL, Contact slide, and 3MPetrifilm methods.
  • Physical Analysis: Physical analyzes for the raw material acceptance and end products of shelled hazelnuts and hazelnut kernels are performed and recorded. In physical analysis, many quality parameters are checked regarding the features such as scald, wrinkled, bruised, lemony, stained, moldy inside-outside, rotted inside-outside, worm-eaten. Relevant personnel are provided with necessary in-house and external training opportunities and gain experience.
  • Swap tests: In order to determine the efficiency in terms of cleaning and hygiene in parallel with the hygiene of the facility and personnel, swap analyzes are performed with the Biocontrol MVP Icon (ATP testing device) and the results are recorded automatically. Cleaning and hygiene efficiency is measured, and products are kept under protection through hygiene controls of the facility and personnel. The workplace and the production processes are controlled periodically, and production and all other operations are carried out in clean and hygienic environments.
  • Ph Meter: It is used for chemical residue control after cleaning. Chemical residues on the surfaces with which the product can potentially contact are determined by residue controls after cleaning.
